Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Buddy Hield joked about having disdain for teammate Jimmy Butler following the Dubs' 119-109 season-opening win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

When speaking to the media during his postgame news conference, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr praised Butler's performance against JJ Redick team. Kerr likened Butler's calming presence to that of former Warriors forward Andre Iguodala, who helped secure four championships during his tenure in the Bay Area.

Jimmy Butler scored 31 points, Stephen Curry added 23 and the Golden State Warriors overcame Luka Doncic’s 43-point performance to beat the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors ran away with a 16-4 third-quarter run, eventually beating Luka Dončić (43 points) and the Lakers 119-109 to cap our opening night doubleheader.
