The Boston Red Sox have had a weird end to the week. Boston dropped the first game of a three-game set against the Kansas City Royals on Friday night in extra innings. That’s not the worst part of the week by any means,

Rafael Devers made his feelings known on Thursday. On Friday, it was Boston Red Sox owner John Henry’s turn to share his opinions with the disgruntled slugger.

That’s no longer the case as the Red Sox ask him to learn an entirely new position. There exists at least the potential for Devers to flub chances and not dig out throws and cost his team games. And even if that doesn’t happen, Devers could fear it might.
