Russia has launched a major missile and drone attack on Kyiv, killing six people and wounding at least 35, including a pregnant woman.

At least 11 people, including a pregnant woman, have been injured from ongoing Russian attacks in the Kyiv region early Friday morning, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Russia launched one of its largest drone and missile barrages on Kyiv early Friday, unleashing more than 400 devices that tore through apartment buildings and infrastructure. Ukrainian officials say several people were killed and dozens wounded as debris and fires spread across the capital.

Friday's attack adds to growing anger and frustration among Kyiv residents as they face winter cold and darkness amid rampant power outages.
