Yum Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Habit Burger & Grill, is teaming up with Nvidia to boost its artificial intelligence-powered technology at its restaurants which will soon be equipped with voice-activated order-taking at drive thrus.

Yum Brands which owns restaurants like KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut announced Tuesday, March 18, it is partnering with technology chip-maker Nvidia. The company says it plans to use the Ai tech in restaurant drive-thrus where it will adapt to human speech patterns and understand menus. It will also be used in call center operations.

Louisville-based Yum! Brands is bringing artificial intelligence to fast food. The company announced a partnership with NVIDIA to bring AI technology to KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Habit Burger & Grill.

The restaurant giant is working with the tech company to develop proprietary tech systems including back-of-house computer vision.
