The federal government shutdown has entered its second week, and already shortages of air traffic controllers have strained operations and disrupted flights at some U.S. airports.

Via Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the Green Bay team plane has been delayed by mechanical issues. The delay, per the report, is approaching five hours. The plane has been stuck on the tarmac the entire time. The Packers and Cardinals are due to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.

A passenger on an Alaska Airlines flight to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport was arrested Oct. 14 for physically assaulting two flight attendants. Her "erratic behavior" forced an emergency landing in Idaho at Boise Airport, according to the Boise Police Department (BPD).

Air China said in a post on Weibo that “a lithium battery in a passenger’s carry-on luggage stored in the overhead compartment spontaneously ignited.”

The battery spontaneously combusted while stored in a luggage in the overhead bin. The airline said there were no injuries.
