The New England Patriots reportedly interviewed former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy before deciding on Josh McDaniels to take over the offensive play-calling, according to FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz.

Before hiring Josh McDaniels, Mike Vrabel interviewed another Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator. According to a source, Eric Bieniemy interviewed with the Patriots for their previously vacant offensive coordinator job. The team also interviewed Marcus Brady, Thomas Brown, and Grant Udinski before hiring McDaniels last week.

Once again, Josh McDaniels will fill the New England Patriots offensive coordinator position. As expected, the team is hiring McDaniels after speaking with him Tuesday, according to CBS Sports lead NFL insider Jonathan Jones. The Patriots made the move official on Wednesday.
