A 4-year-old died and four other people were injured in a Covington County crash on Sunday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Two people died in a crash on I-65 in Shelby County. The Alabama State Troopers said two vehicles collided about 8:23 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 in the northbound lanes near the Cahaba Valley Road exit. All lanes were closed during the evening as the investigation continued.

A Eutaw man died in a single-vehicle crash in the early morning hours of Sunday. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Demarcus Hayes, 30, was driving on I-59 a few miles west of Eutaw, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The crash happened about 12:45 a.m., said ALEA.
