A Tennessee hotshot crew is battling wildfires in northeastern Minnesota that have burned nearly 20,000 acres.
The St. Louis County Rescue Squad reports that one person with is unaccounted for as efforts continue with the Brimson Complex Fires.

Superior National Forest Brimson Complex Fire Area Closure DULUTH, Minn. – Due to the Brimson Complex fires (Camp House & Jenkins Creek fires) on the Superior National Forest (SNF) is closing a portion of the Laurentian Ranger District.
The U.S. Forest service says say the Camp House fire has burned over 12,000 acres and 140 structures have been destroyed.

A fast-moving wildfire fueled by tinder-dry conditions and gusty winds prompted the evacuation of homes and cabins northeast of Duluth on Sunday. It was one of at least two large wildfires in Minnesota on Sunday.
The bar has had some “rude” rubberneckers treating the tragedy “like a bonfire,” said Jessica Willemarck, but by and large, the proprietors have seen “just a lot of concerned people trying to figure out what’s all going on.”
According to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the state has already had 970 fires this year. On average the state experiences a little over 1,100 a year, remember it’s only May.
Fueled by low humidity and gusting winds, the Camp House Fire started near Brimson on Sunday afternoon. The Jenkins Fire started late Monday morning near Fairbanks.
