LAWRENCE — David Coit announced his commitment to Maryland on Tuesday, further ensuring the Kansas basketball guard from this past season is not going to be returning to the Jayhawks.

Kansas senior guard David “Diggy” Coit's agent informed 247Sports Monday morning that Coit intends to enter the transfer portal.

David Coit, a lethal three-point shooter and veteran point guard, has entered the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining.
