The Diamondbacks will sell at the MLB trade deadline, but maybe won't give up all of Merrill Kelly, Eugenio Suarez, and Zac Gallen

According to a league source, the Diamondbacks are scouting the minor-league systems of at least some of the teams interested in Suárez. Those teams, according to league sources and published reports, include the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds and Seattle Mariners.

The Diamondbacks seem to have picked a lane. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that they are informing rival clubs that they plan to trade at least some of their veteran players, though the extent of their sell-off is still to be determined.

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Chicago Cubs have inquired with the Arizona Diamondbacks about third baseman Eugenio Suarez.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are reportedly expected to be sellers leading up to the MLB trade deadline on July 31, although it remains to be seen how many pieces they are willing to part with.
