The European Central Bank must keep an open mind about the pace of interest-rate cuts as lingering risks in the global economy could still shift the outlook for inflation, according to Chief Economist Philip Lane.

The European Central Bank is likely to further ease interest rates next year and is at ease with market projections for future rates, ECB policymaker and Bank of France head Francois Villeroy de Galhau said on Friday.

European Central Bank chief Christine Lagarde said Monday eurozone policymakers would keep cutting interest rates and warned that higher US tariffs under President-elect Donald Trump could hit growth in the bloc.
