Jonathan India hit a three-run home run in the 10th inning to send the Kansas City Royals past the Cleveland Guardians 5-3 in the first game of a doubleheader
Brayan Rocchio opened the inning with a double. Austin Hedges moved him to third with a bunt and Kwan unloaded on a 2-2 curveball for his ninth homer of the season and a 6-2 lead. The homer was the longest of Kwan’s career and his third in the last three games. It must mean his strained right wrist is starting to feel better.

KANSAS — The Guardians return to Kauffman Stadium will have to wait a day after their Friday night game against the Royal was rained out. The game will be made up Saturday as part of a day-night doubleheader. Game 1 is schedule to start at 2:40 p.m. followed by a 7:15 p.m. scheduled start for the second game.
