Southeast Texas on Friday is facing a rare heightened risk of severe weather, a threat level seen only when destructive weather events have followed, such as last May's derecho and the post-Christmas tornado outbreak.

Severe weather moved through the Houston area on Friday. There were numerous Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and a Tornado Warning. The storms brought hail in parts of Liberty County and Harris County. We haven't seen or heard of any damage,
