Invest 98L is expected to strengthen and develop into a tropical depression or Tropical storm Melissa over the next few days, NHC forecasters say.

There is a high chance of a tropical wave developing over the next 7 days as it moves through the Caribbean. It does not currently pose a threat to Florida.

Satellite and radar data early Tuesday show that the system now has a broad but improving circulation. While it still lacks a fully defined center, the overall structure is becoming more organized.
