The Jets erased a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter, but Chase McLaughlin's kick kept the Buccaneers undefeated.
Tampa Bay was looking to take a nine-point lead with under two minutes to go and put the game out of reach at 29-20. However, kicker Chase McLaughlin had his 43-yard field goal attempt blocked by the Jets and defensive end Will McDonald IV who also scooped up the ball before running it all the way back for a 50-yard touchdown.
Will McDonald gave the Jets a lead with a FG block and TD return, but the comeback falls short against the Bucs in Tampa.
Disaster struck right before halftime for the Jets. Taylor forced a ball to Garrett Wilson, and it was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Jamel Dean, which increased the Buccaneers’ lead to 20-6 at halftime. Mason Taylor was wide open across the middle, but Tyrod Taylor still threw the ball to Wilson.
