In the aftermath of Friday's tornado in Washington County, one Kentucky community is mourning the loss of a man who touched countless lives.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said there was severe damage from the early morning storm. A preliminary estimate put the winds at 115 miles per hour or more.

At least one person is dead and seven others injured after an unexpected tornado struck a rural Kentucky county early Friday morning as a line of severe storms moved eastward across the state.
