An Air India plane from Ahmedabad to London has been cancelled a week after flight AI171 crashed, killing as many as 270 people. The flight was cancelled today due to ‘technical issues’, it is understood.

Air India has yet to release an official statement regarding the cancellation or compensation plans for the passengers

Air India on Tuesday afternoon cancelled its Ahmedabad-London Gatwick flight citing "operational issues". No further explanation has been offered by the airline, passengers said. Sources at Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhai Patel Airport said passengers will be re-routed.
