A powerful storm system tore through North Texas on Sunday evening, leaving at least one person critically injured.
After storms damaged parts of North Texas over the weekend, more potential severe weather is on the horizon. One person was killed at an RV Park in Sanger as storms rolled through late Sunday. A 45- to 50-foot hole was also reported in the roof of the Walmart Distribution Center in Sanger.
Monday morning storms in Denton County dropped heavy rainfall, causing isolated flooding. Due to the isolated and disruptive rain and lightning, a First Alert Weather Day has been issued through the morning hours. A flash flood warning is also in effect for Denton County until 8:15 a.m.
Along with half-dollar-sized hail, the storms are bringing winds up to 60 mph. Many North Texans in cities like Sanger and Anna have captured photos and videos of just how strong the storms have been. Photos in Sanger show yards completely covered in hail from the storms.
