Iran’s foreign minister was in Pakistan on Monday to try and mediate in the escalation between Islamabad and New Delhi after last month’s deadly attack on tourists in the Indian-controlled section of Kashmir.

India has blamed Pakistan for the attack, a charge Islamabad denies, offering to cooperate in an international investigation.

India launched strikes on Pakistan and Pakistani Kashmir on Wednesday, an assault Pakistan has called a "blatant act of war" as tensions escalate between the arch rivals after a deadly attack on tourists in Indian Kashmir.
