Parker, rated as the No. 2 running back in the transfer portal according to 247Sports, announced his decision on Instagram. He chose the Utes over offers from Arizona, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, USC and Boise State.

A little over an hour-and-a-half before Washington State’s Wayshawn Parker announced he is transferring to Utah, former New Mexico running back NaQuari Rogers pledged his commitment to the Utes early Friday, On3’s Pete Nakos reported.

Utah is also adding former New Mexico State running back Mike Washington out of the transfer portal — he ran for 713 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior in 2024. Rogers, meanwhile, was New Mexico’s third-leading rusher this past season, when he ran for 382 yards and five touchdowns under a Beck-led offense.
