DNR has issued a Red Flag Warning for Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the following counties in northwest Wisconsin: Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Sawyer and Washburn.

Wisconsin's DNR issued a Red Flag Warning for extreme wildfire risks in several counties, suspending all burning permits due to high temperatures, strong winds, and dry conditions.

According to the DNR, a red flag warning is issued when weather factors combine to create especially dangerous wildland fire conditions. Hot temperatures, very low humidity, gusty winds and dry fuels from a lack of recent precipitation are contributing factors.
