The following is a list of tribes of Kurdish people (Sorani Kurdish: هۆزە کوردیەکان), an ethnic group from the geo-cultural region of Kurdistan in Western Asia.

Jul 20, 2004 · There are three major Kurdish tribes in the province: Modānlu (north of Sāri), Jahānbeglu (north of Sāri), and Ḵvājavand (south of Nowšahr). The Ḵvājavand tribe, according to L. S. Fortescue (p. 317), “was originally brought from Garrús (q.v.) and Kurdistán by Náder Sháh.”

Outside of weaving and clothing, there are many other Kurdish handicrafts, which were traditionally often crafted by nomadic Kurdish tribes. These are especially well known in Iran, most notably the crafts from the Kermanshah and Sanandaj regions. Among these crafts are chess boards, talismans, jewelry, ornaments, weaponry, and instruments.
