Winter conditions can be harsh in the the Cairngorms, with animals like these red grouse coming down off the hills to graze lower down. These birds were filmed this December, 2024, near Glenshee Ski centre, high up in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland. Cairngorms Nature Red grouse are native to the UK and Ireland and are found in heather-dominated moorland.
