Thousands of tons of forever chemicals are polluting Europe’s waters. EVERY. DAY. Forever chemicals like PFAS are contaminating our rivers, wildlife, and even our bodies, yet most remain unregulated. Meanwhile, chemical giants are lobbying to weaken EU water laws, complaining that the cost to keep it clean is too high. Meanwhile, taxpayers pay with their health AND face a €2 trillion clean-up bill. Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden have already proposed a universal PFAS ban.

There are two different types of soil in the Everglades. Peat and marl are commonly found in this wetland and I've had the opportunity to learn more about it while doing research in this amazing ecosystem. #biologist #researchscientist #wetlands #soil #stem
