You can see some of the oldest and biggest Tupelo trees on the upper Suwannee River. Tupelo trees are popular ornamental trees for their spectacular red fall color. They are the most water tolerant tree other than the coastal plain’s cypress tree and like cypress can form spreading buttresses.
