I remember being told this story as a child by my Nana. The story of her Grandfather missing the Titanic due to getting drunk with his mate at @compassinn_winsor ! It’s been difficult to find records of this as he didn’t actually step foot on the ship, but it’s one of those family tales/legends, passed down orally through generations! It’s also an active haunting! Note- a certain Frank Osman survived the sinking, no relation. | Haunted New Forest
