More than a dozen train cars derailed in Mansfield this morning, four of which landed in a river, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. DEEP’s media relations manager said 14 train cars derailed, and the cars were carrying flammable fuel. Mansfield's fire chief said crews were conducting air monitoring and, as of noon, they had not detected any flammable leaks coming from the train cars that contained the fuel.
