We’re in the land of tarantulas and it’s the very end of their annual “migration”. The phenomenon is not actually a mass migration at all, but rather a seasonal journey undertaken by mature male tarantulas. Most of the short-lived males will die during or after the journey, but the female tarantulas can live 20 to 30 years.
