Wendy started volunteering at Children’s Wisconsin as a way to give back to the organization that saved her son’s life. When her son Graham was born he suffered transposition of the great artery, a heart defect that occurs when two main blood vessels leaving the heart are in abnormal positions. Graham had heart surgery 10 days after he was born at the Children’s Wisconsin Herma Heart Institute and Wendy shared how supportive the staff was during this difficult time for her and her family.
