We just released our monthly temperature data for May 2024. In our global record, GISTEMP, Earth’s surface temperature was 1.14°C higher than the 1951-1980 May average. This is the 12th month in a row to set a record high temperature for its respective month, continuing a trend of warming driven by human activities.
